EPA ENERGY STAR Benchmarking
next>edge is a proud member of the Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR Program, and has been directly involved with the labeling of more office buildings in California than any other vendor. With ENERGY STAR labeling, your property enjoys the distinction of being listed among the top 25% of energy efficient buildings in the country - over 40% more energy efficient than average buildings.

To bring your property under the ENERGY STAR label, we gather facility information such as size, occupancy, and hours of operation, and review utilities over an extensive period of operation. The results are compared with the existing national average in energy efficiency. The ENERGY STAR Program is a great way to get started on reviewing your facility for energy efficiency or to validate the effectiveness of recent energy efficiency programs and projects. It is also a powerful marketing tool for identifying your facility as a leader in conservation.

The ENERGY STAR benchmarking process involves several steps – information gathering, use of the EPA benchmarking software tool, a site visit by a licensed professional engineer and then application for and receipt of the plaque.
